Right, so, first I want y’all to know I lost another pound this week, bringing my total to 77.8! Getting so so close to the big eight-oh. Crazy crazy crazy.
Next, I’m changing things up a bit today with a video blog post! Ooooooh. Aaaaaaah. It’s about 10 minutes long and I know you all are sooooo excited. But, seriously, I really liked making this and if enough people like this approach I might start doing more of them. Maybe even make it a weekly thing. It's funny you talked about running shoes. I've been walking a lot in the trails in my neighborhood and I keep thinking I want to run. I'm not a runner at all. But I keep getting pulls to try. But I know I need some new shoes…whether I'm walking or running. How do you recommend getting started with running?

I used Couch to 5K, which is pretty much designed for non-runners

It's cool because it starts you off on walking/jogging intervals where you walk more than run and each week builds up to where you are only running. You can go at your own pace and repeat weeks if necessary, since it's on your own you don't have to complete all nine weeks in nine weeks. There's also an iPhone app (not sure about Android) which will tell you when to run and when to walk, which is nice because then you don't have to keep staring at the clock.
