Weigh In Wednesday: Week Twenty

Starting weight: 259.8
Last Week: 263.6
This week: 260.2
Weight lost this week: -3.4
Total weight lost: +0.4
Well now that was certainly unexpected, especially considering last week was still part of the “holiday season.” This meant that everyone brought in all of their leftover cookies and candies and cakes from Christmas in and I, admittedly, did not do so well in the not eating them department. Plus, of course, there was New Years Eve which involved eating out that night and New Years Day brunch and champagne at midnight….

Suffice it to say, even if I was expecting a loss it was not a loss that big!

One thing that may have helped is that I braved the cold and went out for a run on the 1st and 2nd of January.

They were both only a mile but considering I hadn’t been out for a run since The Christmas Story 10K, I was just happy to be out there. 

My next scheduled race is St. Malachi in early March, which is also when I’ll start training for the 5K/10K Challenge of the Cleveland Marathon. But I don’t want to lose my base between now and then, so I’m going to keep running as much as I can over the next two months to at least try and maintain my current level. It may mean sucking it up and jumping on the dreadmill but you gotta do what you gotta do!
